There are a few Scots words used in the books, just to give you a taste of the accent and feel of the streets where Cait lives. Here’s what they mean;
Peely-wally – Pale sickly looking.
biddies – Older working class women.
baggy – A small plastic bag.
juice – Any soft drink from soda to an energy drink.
midden – Rubbish tip.
couldnae – Could not.
clarty – Dirty.
